IF Obama had Trump tapped, of course we'd need to know if the administration had gone through proper channels to get an legal order to do the deed. Even then, it would reek to high heaven because how hard would it be for any president to find a sitting judge to do his bidding?
IF on the other hand this was a rogue operation, then yes, it's a threat to the Republic and Nixonian in nature.
The shyt may be about to hit the fan if all this shakes out to be true.
If a judge approved it, its an even bigger threat to the Republic. Tapping the opposition political party requires an extraordinary level of evidence.
One would think so. Having said that, I'm no lawyer though I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Judge Ferrer was on Fox and explained the situation legally based on what is known.
He said the Obama Administration made the legal request to FISA to wire tap Trump's org back in May and was turned down. They must've gone back to FISA with a narrower request based on the possibility of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. He stated that this must've been approved based on the narrower request which would've narrowed what they were allowed to collect and assess.
If they collected info on the Trump org outside of the very narrow grounds FISA approved for their tap, they broke the law.
If they leaked ANY info out they also broke the law.

I doubt Obama's fingerprints are on the tap request. He lets minions do the dirty work so that he has plausible deniability. But does anyone doubt he knew? This has Valerie Jarrett's fingerprints all over it.
