Breaking: Immigration busts happening in Cruces - Fitbud - 02-15-2017 02:01 PM

LAS CRUCES — Immigrant advocates say immigration authorities began conducting a sweep of rural areas near the city to arrest undocumented immigrants.
It wasn’t clear early Wednesday whether the enforcement actions constituted a “raid” or whether U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were only going after targeted individuals.

“We are actually aware that there is ICE activity happening right now in Las Cruces and Chaparral,” said Fernando Garcia, executive director of the Border Network for Human Rights, a nonprofit immigrant advocacy group. We have confirmed they have arrived to certain locations.”

I don't see the problem.

Great! ICE is doing their job. They need to step it up.

Chaparral is a small village in between Las Cruces and El Paso. It's a very poor part of town and there is likely a large community of undocumented immigrants.

If in fact ICE is conducting raids there, it is very unlikely that people will feel comfortable calling state police for anything that goes on there from here on out.

We shall see in the coming months if it because a source of increased crime.

I am 100% OK with things getting so bad for illegals that they are afraid to call the police, and quietly deport themselves.

What is the big deal? Obama Admin arrested and deported lots of illegals.

And how will you feel when American citizens who are the children of undocumented immigrants are vulnerable to exploitation in areas where no one calls the cops.

I have never agreed with the anchor baby rule. They can go, too.

Their parents created this mess by coming here illegally and breaking our laws.

And please stop calling them "undocumented immigrants"... it is not accurate. They are illegal aliens. Period.

Life's a beotch...the illegal procreators should have thought of that before hand.
They have a choice to make. Take your kids with you back to Mexico or leave them with a friend.

I think we need to change the law, anchor baby = not a citizen. Most of the civilized world does it this way know.

A study in 2010 found that only 30 of the world's 194 countries grant citizenship at birth to the children of undocumented foreign residents, although definitive information was not available from 19 countries.

You mean... an Amendment? It's a thing, ya know.

But until then, I'm fine with letting the anchor babies stay. But their parents? F them. They can go. I'm not for breaking up families, so the kids can go too and get dual-citizenship in Mexico or wherever they came from.

But if the area is mostly illegal aliens and the illegal aliens are deported won't the crime levels fall?

I don't mean that illegal aliens commit all the crimes, just that fewer people in an area of high numbers of peoples means there will be less crimes.

Seems like a win, no?
