This was a nice article from Athlon about Cajun Elijah McGuire prior to the combine.

Hope he makes it. The last couple of years he didn't bother us to much as a running back but wore us out catching passes.

McGuire is a good one. He'll be on an NFL roster somewhere next year.

It appears he is finally healthy as he looked good in the one post season all-star game (can't remember which one). He has that burst back that was missing when he played App this year.

I think his offensive line hurt him more than anything this year (and last year). I, for one, am glad he is finally gone. Good luck to him on Sundays.

He definitely played behind a sub-par offensive line both years. The Cajuns should have thrown the ball to him out of the backfield more often. They should have gotten the ball into the hands of their best player, one way or another. McGuire was an extremely effective runner in the open field, not so much between two tackles that couldn't block anybody. I guess I should just be glad that Hudspeth never figured that out when the Cajuns played us.

Anyway, I wish Elijah well in the NFL. From everything I've read about him, he seems like a classy guy.
