Unique idea: Merge the CFL with the NFL!!! - DawgNBama - 02-06-2017 04:25 AM

why not? The NFL would gain the Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary markets, which are nothing to sneeze at, IMO, and the CFL couldn't complain about the NFL putting them out of business because they merged with them. :)

Why not? How about because they play by an almost completely different set of rules. The NFL has been careful not to kill off the CFL and Canadian code football, so if it ever goes away, it'll be because of it's own doing.

Toronto Argonauts no longer play in Rogers Centre. They are now a tenant in FC Toronto's stadium, BMO Field, which seats 30,000 for soccer. The seating capacity is supposedly going to be expanded.

No.

Let the CFL and NFL remain separate. It works, plus the CFL is loads more fun.

I posted a similar thread awhile back. I had no idea CFL stadiums were so small. The upside of CFL merger: puts kibosh on London.

Interesting. I originally had Toronto down for BMO, but edited the post when I thought I found more recent information.

Interesting idea, I know that the NFL has been discussing a developmental league. The CFL could be a strong option for that.

Here's my schedule with that alignment:

Home/away in division
1 whole division intraconference
2 interconference games, based on previous season's standings

RE: Unique idea: Merge the CFL with the NFL!!! - ClairtonPanther - 02-26-2017 09:19 PM

Removing the Steelers from a division with Cleveland and Cincinnati is a nonstarter to me.

I'd rather not merge the CFL with the NFL.

Would be interesting to see a football game in Winnipeg in December or later. That stadium actually has heated seats, and their used in October. Green Bay is balmy in comparison.

I'd love to see a game in Nunavut.
