They have @Purdue, @Wisconsin and Maryland over the next two weeks. That should tell us a lot but it really seems like this is the year they finally do it! I wish them the best of luck! You have to love seeing streaks like this end.

If you figure each BigTen team has had a 50% chance to make the NCAA tourney since 1985, then it is anazing that NW has never ever made the NCAA tourney.
The odds of a Big Ten team never ever making the tourney is something like 1 in 1.07 billion!

Cats will finally get in this year after getting screwed last year, won 20 games and no Tourney Bids from NCAA or NIT
On top of getting into the Tourney, Welsh RYan will be undergoing a $110M upgrade soon. Won't be ready till late in 2018 but in the meantime the Cats will be playing in much larger and Much closer to me Allstate Arena which seats at least 17K for hoops. Once Welsh Ryan is complete, NU will really become a hoops beast

They might be in but they simply can't lose the last 4 games. Plus should win 1 in the B1G tourney. They have @Illinois, @Indiana, Michigan and Purdue left this year.. IMO, each game gets more difficult. They really need to get the win @Illinois. Then they should be comfortable. Get both Illinois and Indiana they might not have to win a conference tourney game (but every win helps!)

As of today 2/26, Northwestern hasn't punched its ticket just yet. They have now lost five of its last seven, with games against Michigan and Purdue remaining.
NW is now tied for 6th in the conference at 9-7. if NW loses to Mich and Purdue they will fall to 7th or lower, which means they will play the 9th or 10th seed in big ten tourney, which NW could easily lose.
NW really needs to sneak a victory over Mich or Purdue this upcoming week to sew this thing up.

I believe NW's thrilling last second win against Michigan wraps it up. Even if NW loses their next 2 games against Purdue and the BigTen tourney, I think they are still in for the NCAA tourney. Congratulations!
