Coastal Carolina Football 2016 - JoeJag - 11-20-2016 11:10 PM
Looks like CCU won't exactly be a push over next year in football as they play an inaugural Sun Belt schedule, if their record in 2016 is any indication. So far this year the Chanticleers (sp) are 9-2.
Take a look:

True, it is a fair point and one that I was going to make - but it is a hell of a lot better than only winning 4 games.

I think we will transition well, not predicting to dominate or anything but I think we'll be competitive. I have to say though, there's a lot of talent in the SBC so I hope our recruiting has been up to those standards.

IIRC, most of their Big South opponents dropped CCU from 2016 schedule. If so, AD did great job just getting 12 games. Regardless, a great season & it would appear CCU will hit the ground running come week #1 for 2017 season. While not likely to run the table like GaSo in their 1st season, CCU should be competitive from the start.

CCU only played two playoff teams, which they lost both games but by a combined two points.
They should come in ready to play, likely will beat most of the current SBC bottom dwellers. I'm expecting them to win 3 maybe 4 games on year one, anymore or less would be pretty surprising.

Kennesaw was the only one who actually dropped us but it is league with few members so filling out the OOC schedule is a battle anyway. That's just another benefit of the SBC, fewer OOC games to fill - plus able to fill with better teams.

Nope. At least not at first. McCall should have been redshirted. Kean was our holder. Lee is a true freshman who played QB in high school but was scheduled to be a WR and redshirt this year. Chadwick was our 2B / 1B on our national championship baseball team and a GA with the football team who had a year of eligibility volunteered to join the team to add a little depth - he played QB in high school.

Yeah, it's been a little crazy.
Bradley is a QB by position but honestly hasn't looked that great. Lee looks like some of the old GS quarterbacks to me - runs extremely well, just very fast and smooth. But they don't let him throw it much.

ULM went through 4 quarterbacks last year with #4 being a converted WR (former high school QB) who threw for three TD's against New Mexico State. We've already done three this year. But seven? That's crazy!
Hasn't Georgia Southern gone through 3-4 quarterbacks this year?
