I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - Fort Bend Owl - 10-15-2016 12:26 PM It really makes everything else seem meaningless when you see a tragic event first hand like we did this morning. It was my oldest daughters' first high school swim meet and tragically, a boy from a competing swim team had a seizure, fainted and later was pronounced dead. Don't know any other details than that, other than his older brother is a freshmen swimmer at SMU and this boy was a senior at Fort Bend Clements. Very sad day around here. RIP. I doubt I'll post here for a bit. RE: I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - mptnstr@44 - 10-15-2016 12:29 PM OMG. That is horrible. Prayers for the young man, his family and his team/school. So sad. RE: I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - firmbizzle - 10-15-2016 02:28 PM I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers for the family and the community. I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - Chappy - 10-15-2016 03:23 PM Wow, how terrible and sad. A girl died in my PE class in 5th grade (asthma attack) and for years afterwards I was afraid to fully exert myself physically. I remember it vividly 30 years later. I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - Lenvillecards - 10-15-2016 07:41 PM I recently witnessed a mans battle for life recently. I was at a gas station & was about to climb into my truck & drive away when a noticed a man laying on the ground & who I assume was his wife performing CPR. Started towards them to call 911 but then I noticed a teen boy on the phone, his son I assume. I didn't want to roam to far from my truck since I had my 3 year old in his car seat. What do you do? It seemed to take forever for the firemen to get there. RE: I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - ODUsmitty - 10-15-2016 07:44 PM That's awful. Keep close to your daughter, as this event will be very traumatic for everyone that was there. RE: I witnessed a boys' death at a HS swim meet today - Machiavelli - 10-15-2016 09:16 PM I was coaching a flag football game for 3rd graders and it was getting way too competitive for a 3rd grade football game. We were in the championship game and the opposing coach drops to a knee and has a heart attack and dies.TOOK FOREVER FOR THE AMBULANCE TO GET THERE. Will never forget it.
