Definitely not garbage.. but haven't won yet. The loss to ball state kept me from placing them higher. Where can we logically place them at this point? I have no clue.

True but ball st doesn't look as hapless as most would think. They beat FAU Tonight to pull to 3-1 on the season. Loss to Indiana by not that much. Sometimes new voices can get the most out of underachieving teams. Seems ball st may have hit on their coaching hire.

IN all honesty this upcoming game against App will tell the truth about this game. The games against App have not been competitive in the least bit. Not saying that we will win but we need a great showing against them point blank. Then I can give an adjusted prediction on how the season will play out. For the record I pretty much expected us to be 1-3. Win against ball state, close lose to Air Force, annihilation against Wisconsin and a puzzling loss to app. Well we blew the opener, got destroyed by airforce, played puzzling close to Wisconsin.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - ark30inf - 09-25-2016 02:43 AM

We have played one half of FBS football this year.....and it was pretty bad FBS football.

We averaged 1.3 yards per rush against an FCS team at home....and it wasn't NDSU.

If you did not put us last in the power rankings. You aren't paying attention.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - Atlanta Trojan - 09-25-2016 07:19 AM

5. USA
6. Texas St
7. NMSU
8. Idaho
9. ULM
10. GSU
11. stAte

I have GS & App tied because I'm confident WMU is a top 25 team by the end of the season. Taking that into context we really had one bad quarter against them and held our own the rest of the game. App was totally blown out by Miami and until they beat us or we lose to someone where we are favored I wont say they are better than we are.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - Fanther - 09-25-2016 08:07 AM

GaSt first 3 opponents are 10-1 after week #4, including 4-0 Wisconsin, 3-0 Air Force, and 3-1 Ball State. This may be the strongest opposition record for any 0-3 team right now. After App State next Saturday where GaSt belongs in the power ratings will be a lot clearer. It could be anywhere from top to bottom.

Troy has as well...

Coastal should have beat Jacksonville ST losing by one at JSU.
They blew out Furman who played Michigan ST close and has been competitive.
Playing for nothing they are still getting it done I have Coastal tenth.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - Atlanta Trojan - 09-25-2016 08:54 AM

no disrespect to stAte but not sure how you have ULM below the wolves when ULM won their FCS game and nearly knocked off GS.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - VandalBasher - 09-25-2016 09:51 AM

When I looked at scores and opponents from Week 4, I find it interesting that the Vandals would be rated 8th or below on this thread.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - geauxcajuns - 09-25-2016 09:59 AM

Until the Cajuns figure out how to score touchdowns we will continue to be mediocre.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - TrueBlueDrew - 09-25-2016 10:28 AM

Top:
Troy, App, GS

Troy dominated. App got their win. Western Michigan is as good as everyone says. They will be ranked at one point.

Middle:
USA, StAte, GAST, ULL

Nicholls is a great team. UGA barely escaped them. Disappointing loss for the Cajuns.

Bottom:
NMSU, TXST, Idaho

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - VandalBasher - 09-25-2016 10:48 AM

Third or fourth in the SBC is up for grabs this year.

RE: Week 4 Power Rankings - EigenEagle - 09-25-2016 10:52 AM

I guess the only definite is that we are third. At least for now.

4. USA

11. TX St

Admittedly, it was hard to place GSU. Though I don't get us at 11. Ohio I think, was still a better win than stAte's loss today or ULM over Southern, NMSU over NM or even Idaho's victory over UNLV

JMO
There is a reason rankings don't mean anything until like week 5 or 6

Why is Idaho in the bottom, they have 2 losses, both to PAC12 schools, and have two wins against G5 schools. Not sure I agree with these rankings.

I was going to ask the same question. Idaho lost to 2 PAC12 teams (#8 UW and Mike Leach's WSU).

I don't think you guys putting AState above 11th know the whole story.
Everything is a $&@! Show this year!!!

WE PLAYED THE "hey hey goodbye" SONG OVER THE STADIUM SPEAKERS WHEN OUR OWN PLAYER WAS EJECTED FOR TARGETING!!!!
