2018 Basketball Recruiting - Tribeheart - 09-12-2017 08:30 PM

Davidson is after Kupsas, also, and unfortunately, LI Lutheran was where McKillop coached for 10 years and served as interim headmaster for 2 years, prior to taking the Davidson head job.

Hemphill stated a month ago, unless Wisconsin offered him, he would wait until later in his senior year before making a decision, implying P5 or bust.

Brebeuf Basketball tweets:

"Week 1 continues with great unity in the weight room & on the floor today. Enjoyed having WIU and William & Mary in to watch our guys work."

PG Myja White attends Brebeuf; Jonathan Holmes began following him on Twitter last month.

Stony Brook, William & Mary, Hofstra, Northeastern and Fordham stopped in for LI Lutheran's open gym today. #LuHiBasketball

I'm guessing all of these schools were in to see Donatas Kupsas - he has offers from all of them.

Kupsas retweets recruiting analyst Andrew Slater:
"Stony Brook is in today for @frankpolicelli after GW & Tulane have been in recently. Hofstra + W&M in for @Kupsas13 both of @LuHiBasketball"

Every time I see the list of other offers for kids we have offered, it looks as though we are shooting high (not a terrible thing) but that we are not realistically in the running for most of them. Anybody have any wisdom on which of our offers are in the range of most realistic? Looks to me like we may have to make fifty offers to get the four we need.

Pay attention to offered kids that go on official or unofficial visits to Williamsburg. Not a sure indication of priority, but it shows that the recruit is serious enough to make the trip. Especially official visits since the number is limited.

The head coach at D.C.'s Gonzaga College HS tweets:
"Schools in the Eagles Nest today: Columbia, Mt. St. Mary's, Randolph Macon, Cincinnati, George Washington, William & Mary, and La Tech"

I don't know who they are looking at.

Could be Allin Blunt or Myles Dread. They are both 6'5"-6'6" Forwards.

Could be Blunt; Dread is committed to Penn State. Could also be checking out Class of 2019 players.

Brandon Wade taking an official visit to Loyola-Chicago tomorrow.

I don't know anything about these guys other than their names, but if you were starting a team of Rastafarians, they would be a good place to start.

Free portion of article mentions Peterson is taking his Tribe official visit this weekend. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like he plans to decide soon. I was hoping for a visit commitment.

A very high quality group of recruits still in our potential wheelhouse, and like everyone on here, certainly hard to keep following in anticipation, but trust the staff's hard work will pay off.

Quinn Blair, who had previously followed Sean Sheldon, has now started following Jihar, Luke, David, Justin and Matt, and they have followed him back. He did not add anyone after his Lehigh official visit the prior week. Could be a very good sign to start the ball rolling! Pure shooter and a 6'6" pro style QB to boot. Article from last September. Academics #1.

Will be interesting to see if anyone else is in this weekend with Peterson, or the Stony Brook weekend with Catto. All eyes on any prospect sightings at Zable.

Brandon Wade received an in-home visit from Cal Poly.

LJ Owens picked up an offer from Boston University.

David Nzekwesi received an in-home visit from Denver.

Tribe coaches dropped in on Episcopal in VA. At one point they were interested in Zach Pfaffenberger, though I saw that W&M wasn't mentioned in his final 5. Maybe they are making a late play?

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting - WillaMary08 - 09-15-2017 07:51 AM

Recruiting analyst Julius Kim tweeted the following in reference to LJ Owens:

"Delaware, Boston U, William & Mary, and UMBC were in today. Quinnipiac and Lehigh came earlier in the week"

This must be when BU offered Owens. Everyone else is in his previously stated final seven.

Quinn Blair commits to the Tribe!

One down! Here we go!

Fantastic! So what do we really know about Quinn? Mr J?

Hopefully this is the start of a really nice run. Welcome Quinn!
