Shandon Brown actually committed to GW, which may or may not be unfavorable to us in Quinnipiac's recruitment of several of our guard targets.
Rivals article on Chase Audige stated Quinnipiac, William and Mary, and Drexel were recruiting him the hardest. He is planning official visits to all three. Dates not set yet.

Does anyone have an idea of how much impact our decision on COA having on the lack of early verbal commitments? Since I generally am impatient this may be normal, but with the large number of schoolies open my anxieties are exacerbated...

One part of me thinks that it is all about the school, coaches, and education when picking a college. The other part of me remembers being a broke college kid that would welcome some form of income. It wouldn't necessarily be the answer, but are the kids that W&M offered that committed elsewhere picking schools that offer COA?
2018 Basketball Recruiting - Tribeheart - 08-21-2017 12:03 PM
Elon has the only CAA commit to date for 2018. JMU, Delaware, UNCW, CofC and Towson have cost of attendance. Small sample, but you can't conclude that cost of attendance has been a factor, yet. To date, we have lost two targets to A10 schools (conference mandates COA, 11 commits), two to Ivies, one to SoCon (don't believe Furman does COA), and others to high major final lists.
For reference, Quinnipiac has no commits to date, but the MAAC, which mandates COA, has 4 total conference commits.
