UNT paying Rick Villarreal $384,906 in buyout

North Texas will pay athletic director Rick Villarreal a buyout of $384,906 over the course of more than a year.
Villarreal has agreed to step on June 20 down after more than 15 years guiding UNT’s athletic program.
UNT will pay the buyout in monthly installments over the course of 15 months.
A letter detailing terms of the agreement was obtained by the Denton Record-Chronicle through a Freedom of Information Act request.
