I think we might have seen the last giveaway in Flyers history last night. What an ugly display from the Flyers and their fans. It's not surprising in the slightest, but still a bit disappointing.

I think NBC in a lot of ways is rooting for Anaheim tonight to close out the 1st round tonight and maybe be able to get the 2nd round started on Wednesday night perhaps.

Thank God that my Blues won, if nothing else at least it means NBC won't have a team to blow for the rest of the playoffs. No Canadian teams or Bruins made it, now the Wings, Rangers, Hawks, and Kings are out so it must suck for the NHL's ad revenue. But if we get past the Stars, it's Cup or bust, I like our chances.

Caps/Pens are going to have all the attention in rd 2. You can already see it with the schedule- both Saturdays in the round the Caps/Pens will be the 8pm nationally broadcast game on NBC. 8pm start times for the entire series most likely.

if there's any doubt on what series is getting pimped in rd 2, it's the Caps/Pens series...
3 of the 1st 4 games are the only game of the entire night....
the other one is game 2 which is the 8pm NBC slot.

It's really all they have left for wide appeal. No Original Six, no Canadian teams, only the bastard NY area franchise and six of the final eight are either West of the Mississippi or south of the Mason Dixon line (where Hockey is hardly popular).
There is a very real possibility the SCF are Tampa Bay and Dallas...that would be a ratings nightmare (despite being good hockey).
