UAB Coaching Search - ICB - 03-25-2016 10:12 AM

Well I guess someone needs to start it. "Time to move forward."

Asst Coach - Rob Ehsan

any other reasonable wish list candidates out there?

RE: UAB Coaching Search - The Answer UAB - 03-25-2016 10:16 AM

Any good and qualified Mike Anderson assistant

RE: UAB Coaching Search - hooverblazer - 03-25-2016 10:17 AM

Ehsan should definitely get a hard look. Hiring a young assistant from a major program worked well last time.

TJ Cleveland would take the job. I doubt we offer it to him though.

RE: UAB Coaching Search - blazerball25 - 03-25-2016 10:20 AM

How about Brevin Knight? Since it was down to him and Haase at Stanford.

RE: UAB Coaching Search - BeliefBlazer - 03-25-2016 10:21 AM

Cleveland is the new John Neal.

RE: UAB Coaching Search - The Answer UAB - 03-25-2016 10:21 AM

Knight has zero coaching experience.

They killed it at UAB and Mizzou before that. They haven't been a abject failure at Arkansas, either.

I don't think TJ Cleveland would be a good hire.

Why not? Not trolling - asking for your honest opinion and others, as well..

RE: UAB Coaching Search - BlazerGold09 - 03-25-2016 10:24 AM

Chris Beard at Little Rock would be an outstanding hire.

Would UAB be considered a lateral move for him now, though?

RE: UAB Coaching Search - the Dragon - 03-25-2016 10:25 AM

Matt McCall

From UTC

RE: UAB Coaching Search - DragonClaw - 03-25-2016 10:26 AM

Somebody from the Roy Williams or Mike Kryzewski coaching tree.

His base salary is $230K, at least prior to this year.

That would be great, but don't know if he'd leave one mid major for another. Especially after one year.

We interviewed him last time and he was considered a finalist, I think. I would love this hire.

RE: UAB Coaching Search - ATTALLABLAZE - 03-25-2016 10:45 AM

TJ wants the job and was a finalist. His style would win big here. He is a tremendous recruiter and won't leave for just a pay raise. I happen to know he is in Birmingham today.

I like Rob as well.

Seems too young. Not enough experience.
