The Democrats are in big trouble - Fort Bend Owl - 03-16-2016 07:48 AM

I just looked it up.

2008 Florida primary - 1.95 million Republican votes, 1.75 million Democrat
2008 Ohio primary - 1 million R, 2.2 million D

2016 Florida - 2.25M R, 1.6M D
2016 Ohio - 2.1M R, 1.2M D

Not a good sign at all, especially the bolded part.

Trump just pointed out the 'reds that have never voted'

he's talking about me and many others....

RE: The Democrats are in big trouble - HarmonOliphantOberlanderDevine - 03-16-2016 08:08 AM

Trump can win if he doesn't enraged the sleeping base.

RE: The Democrats are in big trouble - QuestionSocratic - 03-16-2016 08:17 AM

I'm going to keep pounding on this line of thought.

The Dems are in trouble because the Hill obviously has health issues and the Super Pacs are going to go all to suggest that she does not have the stamina to lead. The coughing jags. The coke glasses. The loss of memory. Suggestions of Post Concussive Syndrome. This is a winning issue especially if she takes a Veep with far left ideological principles.

He needs to enrage the left and sucker them into more protests. If a few can become violent, he'll benefit big time.

as a democrat, I feel no need to vote in a primary...I know who is going to win this time.

but as a democrat, I will 100% vote in November.

I'm not the only one.

I understand your line of thinking, but don't you think there are a bunch of people on the other side of the aisle who feel the same way? Granted the Republican ticket is yet to be resolved, but a lot of voters only vote in the presidential election.

1 vote equals 1 vote...you're 47%er BS is why you can't have the White House.

McCain, Romney, now Trump can join the list of discarded GOP candidates.

not really...this has been the most entertaining, and combative GOP primary in years...with 'Trump vs anyone but Trump' going on in the GOP...its getting out the voters.

The.right side can't have the White House because the media, colleges and the general laziness and greed of people leans towards the Left. Free stuff, mooching attracts more people because it is easy.

RE: The Democrats are in big trouble - firmbizzle - 03-16-2016 08:32 AM

We should have a poll in the next month or 2. Trump will be down 15 points. What are the odds that Trump has a gaffe that kills him in the general?

The latter comment was idoitic. But the 47% comment hits close to the truth that moochers exist. I wish we didn't have any welfare. People need to learn to provide for themselves.

RE: The Democrats are in big trouble - DaSaintFan - 03-16-2016 08:35 AM

The BS claim over the 47% comment was ridiculous... as someone once said.

You could nominate a head of cabbage most years and put it under (insert party choice here), and the party loyalists would vote for the head of cabbage, because it's a "insert party choice here", and except in extreme circumstances, would get 45% of the vote just for that reason alone.

I wish we would cut all foreign aid, slash the military budget 10%, and put that money into social programs that help Americans like SNAP, Social Security, or the VA.

American tax money should go to Americans...not Israel or African nations.

There are plenty of Republicans that sit out the primaries too.
My spouse and I, both conservatives, both sat out the primaries as did most of our family members.

Lots of Blue Dog Dems have crossed over to Trump in the primaries. They are disenfranchised blue collar workers who have seen their jobs got overseas or south of the border.

I would cut all foreign and humanitarian aid (except to Israel) and invest in infrastructure and the VA.

Forget about SNAP and Social Security. My money shouldn't be paying for others' food. Ridiculous.

Your second line is mostly correct.
