Reasons to hate UTSA Roadrunners - Cscollis - 10-05-2015 09:47 AM
I will start:
1. They are thugs in helmets.
2. There coach encourages thuggery.
3. I hate birds that you can't eat. They are fast skinny vultures.
4. Wylie Coyote never wins.
5. They actually beat us in football in 2013. Man we sucked that year.

I don't know what happened but Tech and UTSA have quickly become a heated rivalry. Both team players hate the other for some very unknown reason to me.

Definitely - I just asked the question since I didn't know where the hate came from. Last year game in Ruston, neither team could really focus on playing football - all smack talk, cheap shots, and unsportmanlike conduct fouls.

They are appealing it. If not enjoy the first half because he will make up for lost ground in the second.

Where did you hear this? I know it is ejection and missed 1st half of next game for targeting. Is it the same for two unsportsmanlike conduct fouls?
I was at the game. The ULL player had Dixon head in a scissor lock and the second one he spiked the ball, big deal. Both were tic tack calls
Dixon is always chippy but every team tries to take their shots at him so I dont blame him

Several outlets have stated that the coaching staff expects a first half suspension and they plan to appeal. As for the RoadChickens...we are gonna whoop dat A$$!!

I thought the suspension was for targeting only but I am not buying the NCAA rule book for 8 bucks. If KD is suspended, I believe Tech will win the appeal as both personal fouls were very harmless. If he is suspended for the first half, we will be fine. Driskel will able to show off his passing skills a little more than usual. I would love for us to play fast and chuck the ball around like the Dykes days even if it is just for 1 half.

You don't have the right to call anyone thugs after Kenneth Dixon punched a UTSA player last year and after he got ejected just this week for personal fouls. I don't even have to go into the cop/teammate puncher.

Take the suspension and move on, winning an appeal may come back to haunt you, gives him a mini-bye. Playing 10 straight weeks is hard on everybody, more so for RB's.

I have heard anything of KD being suspended. I believe the suspension for the first half of the next game is for targeting not for unsportsmanlike conduct
Targeting with Crown of Helmet (Rule 9-1-3)/Targeting to Head/Neck
Area of a Defenseless player (Rule 9-1-4).
No change to the statements of the fouls.
Changes to the penalty statements in bold:
PENALTY—15 yards. For dead-ball fouls, 15 yards from the succeeding spot.
Automatic first down for fouls by Team B if not in conflict with other rules. For
fouls in the first half: Disqualification for the remainder of the game. For fouls
in the second half: Disqualification for the remainder of the game and the first
