They also handled the Oregon basketball players case where Oregon settled out of court for $800k.

I've got a feeling this case has gone beyond the ability of any checkbook to effect any change in this girl's sentiment about pursuing justice.

Baylor had a chance once, but they blew it. Instead of giving this girl justice from the start, they tried to cover things up. And when that failed, they tried to convince the girl to transfer rather than punish the person responsible, simply because he played football. I don't think any price will mitigate this problem before it goes to trial.

I don't think it's about money her family want justice, the money is going to come anyway. They ought to demand some heads roll. Because she was not protected by the university, that's for sure.

If she insists on a trial, the total attorney fees on both sides could exceed the Oregon settlement. And Baylor will probably pay them all if they lose the case.

Baylor is going to wish they had handled this properly from the beginning. The trials and the Federal inquiries are not going to be pretty. Don't count out the NCAA looking into this too.
