Pretty good, Mach. I will say that I only see three driveways with cars in them.

It's not the 1/4" of snow that causes all the traffic-drama in the south. It's the sheet of ice that comes after it.

Find an image you want to bring to a thread, right click it, click "copy image url", and then come back to the thread. Make a new post, and then click "insert image" (to the right of "insert bulleted list"). You'll get a prompt asking you to paste the image url. CTRL +v (paste) and then press ok.

Yeah I use Apple products. I'm sure someone else on here uses Apples.

I'm trying.

Also have to make sure that the image is current (ie. still on the site where it originated). I'm no expert and I apologize if my assistance has not been helpful. If its an image that you're attempting to upload straight from your computer, you'd need to anchor it online somewhere; I tend to use photobucket.

No thank you for trying to help me out. I tried photobucket on here one time too but you could see all my photos on my bucket so I cancelled that too.

Yup. Ice is the bigger problem in the south. Freezing rain for several days w/ below freezing temps can cause near disasters city/region wide. The Ice storm in Memphis back in '94 was epic. We didn't have power or leave the house for weeks. It just wouldn't stop raining and freezing layer on layer of ice. Trees were collapsing all over the place on houses, cars, streets, and powerlines were totally destroyed.

Its also better that the south shuts down over a little snow and ice....no one here is used to dealing with it and they act getto stupid on it.

Here's another difference, when its February and the North had crappy gray cold weather , I'm putting a peg in the ground and playing 18 holes.

It's worth it, summers up here are prefect.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be in the south much past February.

Heat is good and so is humidity!

RE: Difference between the North and South in the winter. - ClairtonPanther - 11-23-2014 05:42 PM

IMO the difference is that people in the north are used to driving in snow. I'd rather drive in 3 inches of snow than 1/4 of an inch w/ spotty black ice. Here in Pittsburgh yesterday we had a surprise ice storm and there were over 200 accidents in the area and many bridges and on/off ramps were closed.
