Arizona at 2??

Ok, they beat Oregon, but they also beat Cal on a miracle Hail Mary, barely escaped 1-4 UTSA, and barely escaped Nevada.

RE: Week 6 Polls - 200yrs2late - 10-05-2014 11:01 AM

He did say in another tweet everybody would hate his ballot. He seems to be stirring the pot with big moves and falls based on one game instead of looking at body of work over the whole season.

RE: Week 6 Polls - The Knight Time - 10-05-2014 11:04 AM

They hate his ballot because it's idiotic.

FSU at 6? They've done absolutely nothing to move from the 1 spot. They went on the road to beat Ok State, beat Clemson without Winston, won at NC State, and beat the crap out of everyone else.

And I hate FSU.

ECU up to 19 in the coaches poll.

Win and move up.

Also Memphis has showed up in "Others Receiving Votes"…Good for them. Hell, if they win out with Marshall and ECU dropping a game or games they could be the G5 representative.

RE: Week 6 Polls - 200yrs2late - 10-05-2014 11:23 AM

Maybe I could see dropping FSU to #2 since some of their wins have not been pretty, but nowhere near #6.
Arizone, Ole Miss, TCU, and GT too high. ND, which I really hate most of the time, has looked good but barely moves up after a string of pretty damn good wins. Utah goes from NR to 24 on a win over #18 without their starting QB.

Lets hope the other voters take their ballot more seriously.

Just shows the nonsense of these polls…The great thing is that they mean absolutely nothing in the new age of College Football. It will be very interesting to see the Playoff Committee's Poll when it comes out late this month.

Lots of teams ahead of us with top 25 matchups as well. Win and there's a lot of potential next week.

The SEC West Matchups for the remainder of the year will be a bloodbath.

Already, your going to have Auburn vs Mississippi State this weekend.

#19 is right where I figured the Pirates would land after all that Chaos. USF is our number one focus right now. Looking into the schedules of our past opponents...

South Carolina's recent performance isn't helping but we need to realize that the team is inconsistent but not terrible. They could very well upend Auburn but being an away game... I see that as a L. They only have 3 SEC Games remaining on their schedule! They go to Florida and Host Tennessee. 2-1 is doable. They'll win the 2 remaining OOC games. The finale @ Clemson is where we really need them to perform. 8-4 is where I hope they end up which would put them right back in the ARV section.

North Carolina is a train-wreck and will get beat solidly by Notre Dame. The Dumpster Fire that ensues will send a Defensive Coordinator packing and there is no bowl game for the Tarheels.

Virginia Tech however.... The Hokies lost back to back homegames for the first time in 15 years or so. They can however rebound in a weak ACC and I think they will. They could very well win out. Their away games are Duke, Wake and Pitt. That leave Miami, Boston College and Virginia at home. They have their marque win over OSU and just 2 losses to top-25 teams. They can return to the poll and even make the ACC championship game due to their easy schedule. That means they need to win out and Georgia Tech needs 2 losses. Georgia Tech faces Clemson. The rest of the schedule looks winnable but... is GT really a Top 25 team? They haven't been very convincing.

It still all hinges on the cold November road trips to Cincy and Temple.
