This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - EagleRockCafe - 08-12-2014 01:08 AM Time for real leaders in the community to get control of this before it leads to a city consumed by fear. Holder better not play politics with this because he will be making a huge mistake if he does. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/08/massive-brawl-shuts-down-st-louis-galleria-mall-on-lockdown/ RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - SumOfAllFears - 08-12-2014 08:02 AM Since when has Holder or Obama, for that matter, done anything remotely honorable? RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - oklalittledixie - 08-12-2014 08:06 AM Of course Holder will throw gas on the fire. Obama has to gin up his base somehow. RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - firmbizzle - 08-12-2014 08:08 AM They have finally lost it. RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - Crebman - 08-12-2014 08:16 AM It is possible that this kid that was killed by the cops unjustifiably. However, once the looting and destruction of the neighborhood businesses started, those protesting the shooting lost any high ground they may have held. It gives the impression that folks in that area (including the kid) are lawless heathens. I'm sure that the Feds investigating will be instructed by the Holder/Obama administration to find a racial component even if there really isn't one. Who knows, it could be no more than an overzealous cop using excessive force - and we know that cops in general protect their own no matter what. I just know that the most divisive administration in our country's history is likely to find something to further divide - it's what they do. This is why this crap will never die out.
RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - ClairtonPanther - 08-12-2014 10:29 AM This stuff been coming to a head for a long time, just about everywhere in the midwest/rust belt. Even where I live there is little trust between the community and the police. With that said, for whatever reason, people hate snitches until something bad happens to their property or loved one. First step is that the culture in itself in these places need to change. Next step is police and the community needs to have some joint activities where the police and the people get to know each other. I completely understand protesting the police when situations, like this one, arise. Problem is, I don't understand how looting and burning down stores in your neighborhood does anything especially considering that many of those stores are owned by people that live in those neighborhoods. Why loot and/or burn down a building that is owned by your neighbor? What exactly does that solve? Protest away, I'd stand right next to them in a peaceful protest. Shooting unarmed people & beating up teenage girls is out of control. Has been since the 60's.

But then again, the people looting are just thugs taking advantage of an opportunity and they have moral cover. RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - Smaug - 08-12-2014 01:03 PM Why loot your own neighborhood? Remember what Theodore Roosevelt said, "Do what you can with what you have, where you are." RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - South Carolina Duke - 08-12-2014 01:07 PM They don't own anything in this world. So they are fine with stealing from others. They are "takers and opportunists that is all". RE: This is a very dangerous situation in the St. Louis area... - oklalittledixie - 08-12-2014 01:09 PM Never mind that this kid most likely attacked the officer.
