First of all, is there expected to be a large contingent of Tribe fans going? I am planning on it, but wanted to start the discussion and see if there might be opportunities for Tribe-specific tailgating locations.
Secondly,
Do any of you know where the tickets that are being sold through WM are located? $50 each isnt thaaaat much, but there are cheaper tickets available on other websites. Its hard to make an educated decision on the value of the "Visitor Seats" available without actually knowing where they are.

Planning to be there +5 or 6 in tow. I went to a Tech game a few years ago and the visitors section was 19 and 39 I think.

I saw an ad for a Tribe Club Tailgate in Blacksburg, with or without game tickets. Price included transport to and from the Tailgate location to the game/stadium. You could check with Peggy Lucas, Tribe Athletics Staff for details.

I'm ashamed to say that I got my tickets off of StubHub rather than the Tribe Athletics website. But hey at least I'm going.

No shame in that, Stubhub prices are almost half of what the cost would be and in a much better location. There should be a pretty good Tribe contingent there. I was a student last time we played out there and a lot of people went out there to stay with friends at Tech; hopefully a similar case this year.

We always sit it the Tribe section...mostly because I don't want my kids exposed to fans of other schools. Much better to cheer with Tribe brethern than sit with the enemy and get dirty looks.

Tailgate is right here. 446 Houston St. Blacksburg. Tribe and Tech fans will be together. Easy walk to the stadium. I think it's $20 per vehicle.

I don't think our O-line will struggle against any team this season to include VT. With a strong defense, we can really eat up the clock with our running game and pull out a 17-13 type victory. Just think what a win over VT would do for our QB's confidence going into games against Hampton, Norfolk State, and Lafayette.

I'm planning on being there with probably 5-ish more with me. Should be a good time. I felt great about this game pre-Ortiz. I still feel decent, though. We're always a tough out.

I was last there in 1976, Tribe won decisively, 27-15.
Tech was 2-0, very high expectations, everyone had those VT bumper stickers, "bowl bound in 1976". Of course that was back when going to a bowl was a big deal, there were only about 10 of them then.
