Trey Gowdy Nails The IRS Commisioner To The Wall In Congressional Hearing - EagleRockCafe - 06-24-2014 12:28 AM

Finally! A Republican who knows how to question a witness! Trey Gowdy is a hell of a prosecutor. I really like Gowdy.

More Trey Gowdy.

Trey Gowdy’s Dream

Here he is with little humor, with a nice rip on John Boehner and Lindsey Graham.

Trey and Senator Tim Scott are SC's only hope for true leadership.

He's awesome. No bullsh*t and ruthlessly to the point. I wish there was a way he could head up the investigations of all the Obama scandals.

2/10

He didn't get anything out of him.

Koskinen is a first class d-bag.

When you have someone speechless to the point of having to say "That's a good argument", then continues on with talking points completely irrelevant to what Gowdy was previously talking about, I think that's a pretty productive 5 minutes.

I think he’s more of a punching bag.

What did it produce?

How can Kosky say that there wasn't any wrongdoing in the case and no corruption either if he can't explain what happened to those emails. For instance: If I was on vacation and something at work happened and the Fire Chief comes out and asks me if there were bad things written on some emails not sent to me, how could I tell the F.C. no, there weren't any incriminating info on them if I never got to read them and were destroyed before I had the chance. He is just doing what the WH says the Reps are doing, politicizing this grand jury.

Isn't he chairing the Benghazi committee?

What was it ever going to produce? You've got a 5 minute sound byte with a bureaucrat who's busting his gut to stonewall. You're not getting any startling revelations out of that. The most it could produce is for Gowdy to land a couple of punches and the IRS guy to look like a flaming a-hole. I'd say it achieved that.

Wow. NY Times is a Scam.

That's why I think the whole thing is a waste of time. Making this a spectacle and getting nothing but indignant doesn't help the overall cause.

In the end, this all plays into the President claiming he is just being smeared because he's black etc.

Public opinion thinks the IRS is hiding something and I believe the the White House is involved.

I do too. I simply question the Republican approach.

I saw a poll today that 75% of the country (90% of Republicans, 63% of Dems) believes the emails were deliberately destroyed.

Surely, even Obama isn't dumb enough to play the race card on this one.

Americans do not fear 0bama using the race card. It's been played too many times. And besides almost no one believes anything he says anymore. 76% of American voters think the emails were deliberately destroyed.

HuH? The republican approach is to call the IRS officials to testify before Congress (and so far, they're only making their situation worse in their testimony)... How's that a bad approach? We just let the DOJ investigate? HAHAHAHA!!!!
