What is yours? Even the world market reacts to increased supply. Eco 101. And OPEC sets the price at the well head. If we are able to decrease our independence on middle eastern oil, the oil doesn't have to shipped 6,000 miles on a tanker, there is less cost built in which can affect prices. So at the margin, it could decrease prices at the pump. Nonetheless, I, for one among many, have never said that the reason for Keystone is to reduce prices for Americans at the pump. What is yours? I think if you add to the world supply domestically you can, perhaps, start to wean us off of the middle east which would be a huge cost savings in terms of our geo-political expenditures.. RE: Your favorite partisan fairy tale? - olliebaba - 04-21-2014 01:50 PM It's for our national defense as it takes away our need for foreign oil. Why did the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor? Because of the U.S. embargo of their (Japanese) need for oil which they have none of it themselves.
