Could be worse. Looks like they're a young team -- 2 out of their top 3 scorers are sophomores, and there isn't a senior on the roster. Maybe the 2-3 will throw them for a loop?

They're Ivy Leaguers...I'm sure they've broken down the anatomy of the 2-3 zone, and all similar defenses, in a freshman year thesis. Har Har Har.

In all seriousness, it looks like they shoot the lights out, but aren't necessarily huge. Hopefully our length can force them into some bad shots.

They haven't lost much at home either. This is gonna be a tough game.

I like Emu's chances in this one. Keep on winning

I also like our chances, but their youth scares me.

They might be a little more "up" for this game, and a tourney apperance out of an Ivy League school might be a little more important for them. We proved that we weren't quite happy to be there against NSU last game (at least in the first half)

Lets hope we can match intensity.

Being in the CIT got this team a game in NYC. Thats cool.

That's what I thought as well, they will remember this for a long time, NYC is a great city. If I wasn't busy I would have went, a chance to see EMU in NYC ? 03-banghead

Game day!

We are 1.5 point underdogs. Not too bad. We haven't been great on the road, and Columbia has been pretty good at home, but we'll see if our length and the zone can bother them. Hoping we can force some turnovers and get on the break. I don't know if they can run with us.

From John Templon via Twitter:
"@nybuckets: Can @HustleBelt or someone else tell me why MAC Defensive Player of the Year Da'Shonte Riley isn't in the starting lineup for EMU?"

That's an interesting pre game fun fact. Wonder what's up with that ?

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - TimBuck2 - 03-22-2014 05:56 PM

Maybe giving Hugley the start since he's from Queens?

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - easterneagles79 - 03-22-2014 06:00 PM

That's really the only thing I can think of...

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - holybovine - 03-22-2014 06:46 PM

Tied at the half -- I like our chances!

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - EagleSam - 03-22-2014 06:48 PM

Raven Lee carrying the team. Wow, what half for him.

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - easterneagles79 - 03-22-2014 06:52 PM

Started out slow, that's for sure.

Once we got Lo foul trouble, things started to even out. He has three so far ! Hopefully he picks up another quick one.

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - holybovine - 03-22-2014 07:16 PM

Raven Lee with 23! Wow!

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - TimBuck2 - 03-22-2014 07:28 PM

Seriously, if Lee could just play more consistently! He avereged 8.8 pts in 20.4 mins avg in the team's MAC losses. Come on!

RE: CIT Round 2: Columbia. - easterneagles79 - 03-22-2014 07:50 PM

That's all she wrote. Pretty close game throughout, we just didnt have a balanced enough attack today, and got COLD when it mattered.

Either way, congrats on a solid season. Hopefully better things are to come.

Good season, fellas. It was fun.

Lots to be excited about for next season.

Yep. Our top 3 scorers are returning next season, along with Jodan Price. Good things await.

Good season, Eastern!!
