This guy had evidently been watching too many movies and playing too many video games. Real life doesn't work that way. He should have surrendered instead of using that poor woman as a shield. Warning..graphic video of the guy going down.

Good thing he wasn't homeless and minding his own business. Things could have gotten uglier.

Gut shot?

Good thing they had millions of dollars of SWAT equipment, when all they needed was a $500 rifle.

Easy to say that behind a computer desk muchacho. Just like our military, Law enforcement needs to have the upper hand in any confrontation. This instance only required a rifle, but the requirements for SWAT are a bit more broad than what we see here.

Q: What's the difference in Police with military equipment and military?

A: None.

Do you actually believe the Posse Comitatus Act would allow MRAPs to roam the streets of America? You can't be that dumb.

meh, surplus MRAPs that need to go to use, and will for deliberate assault for SWAT teams (in very specific circumstances). Would you rather we destroy them? When i see an m1a1 rolling down broadway, then you might have a point.

The police do not have access to all the same equipment as the military. How often do you have interactions with cops or military folks? Have you been to israel? Thats the military running the duties of law enforcement. Thats having a guy with an m4 in front of every mall. Its a sizable and noticeable difference difference.
