Maybe He's Not Gay - EverRespect - 01-13-2014 08:16 AM

Quote:Having suffered a major setback when Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” got his job back, the gay lobby is now going for a softer target – a pro-family activist in Ohio whose book, “Maybe He’s Not Gay,” undercuts their recruitment efforts among kids.

Author Linda Harvey, who runs a pro-family ministry called Mission America, seems to have emerged as more of a target than Phil Robertson.

Robertson was suspended – then reinstated – from the show after making comments critical of homosexuality, some of them based on biology and the facts of life, and others on Bible passages.

The “Maybe He’s Not Gay” book “seeks to tell kids the truth about homosexual behavior,” Harvey says. It explains in a conversational tone why no one is born homosexual, the health risks associated with the lifestyle and factors that may lead to same-sex attractions.

Harvey asserts that the homosexual movement is revolutionary and designed to overturn traditional cultural values. “It’s a revolution, both inside the minds and hearts of today’s youth – and in our culture,” her book says.

In response, the pro-homosexual Huffington Post attacked the book as “potentially dangerous” because it suggests children don’t have to engage in dangerous homosexual conduct and that parents can influence how their children turn out. The publication also claimed that Amazon had “pulled” the book in response to homosexual criticism.

The percentage of homosexuals in the population is typically estimated to be roughly 5%. And that percentage isn't going to change. People can't be recruited/talked into a sexual orientation. You could've had a "recruiter" (quoting the article) spend countless hours trying to sell me the joys of a gay lifestyle when I was a teenager, but my hetero orientation would not have budged.

Anyone who says that gay rights advocates are "masters of demonic manipulation," as Linda Harvey does, deserves all the scorn she gets. Of all the things to get worked up over in our day and age, it's two homosexuals in a loving relationship that tops her list. I'll never understand that.

I read 1-3% two decades ago, from three independent studies that came out around the same time.

5% would be a 100% change, which is usually considered significant.

Furthermore, this article shows that something goes on

http://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-gay-youth-research-jokesters-20140102,0,1949847.story#axzz2pOSSc9Hf

From my observations, I conclude that a significant number of practicing gays were made, not born. That is why I believe the undeniable correlation between homosexuality and pedophilia exists, and why there are many outspoken homosexuals pushing for legalization of pedophilia.

Other forms of sexual expression are known to be influenced by environment. This is neither shocking nor new. To believe homosexuality is exempt from that influence would be a remarkable claim, requiring remarkable evidence.

Who here hasn’t experienced an attempted recruiting?

Those so-called 5% sure get around…
Heck! even Jehovah's Witnesses are less presumptuous.

It's utterly amazing how the left thinks they can force the gay agenda on America. As if that won't just set their image back even further.

Why? It was/is common in pagan cultures.

These threads sure get the board's 1-3% worked up. Maybe a poll, R U gay, or not gay?

Good question. I experienced several as a teenager and one as an adult.

How long ago were you a teenager? Being a fag is an up and coming fad that many young people will "try" if they're manipulated into thinking it's cool. You're being naive.

I was a teen recently and there was maybe 1 kid like that in my HS. No one talked to him except those weird kids that dressed in all black. Also, I'm from small town America next to a military base in the south... so that's probably not the best sample of the "trendy" population.

Yeah we had one gay kid at my school too, and he only hung with the girls. That was in the 90's, and like you, I went to a small school in a small town with an 800 population. Dude had two brothers that were extreme rednecks...

Somehow, I never thought I'd enhance my "coolness" by sticking a D_ck in my mouth - And I've been propositioned on more than one occasion. One of the propositions was pretty funny looking back on it - wasn't quite as funny as it was happening though.

Yeah I know it's not cool. But my point is that the manipulation they bring about is that it's cool and it's widely accepted. You're just a true blue non queer mythical homophobe like the rest of us that have an ass hole that seals itself off at the mere thought of another wiener being anywhere near us...

In adults when sexuality is fixed I agree but I do believe in the very young there is a level of sexual elasticity. It seems we think sexuality is the only complicated human behavior which is 100% nature... and that belief is 100% wrong.

"Gay agenda" is a funny term. Equality is "too gay" for a lot of older folks it seems.

The reason the percentage of homosexuals has gone up recently is because people aren't getting killed (as often) for being gay. Imagine being openly gay in the 70s or 80s - you could die. Now, that is much less likely, and the culture has changed with immense support from all areas of life - from education to entertainment.

Equality for the Gay Agenda is a funny term. Gays want to be treated as a special class of people.

Few people have ever been killed for being gay. Stop with your lies... and gay agenda.
