7-foot-tall statue of Satan at the Oklahoma State Capitol: - GoApps70 - 01-07-2014 04:51 AM

A group made application to put a seven foot tall Satanic statue at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

One of the features is that people can sit in his lap for pictures.

OK, no comments about why would they put an Obama statue there. Show some respect for the office.

Satan: This artist's rendering provided by the Satanic Temple shows a proposed monument that the New York-based Satanic group wants to place at the Oklahoma state Capitol

Satan worshipers want 7-foot-tall statue of devil put at Oklahoma state Capitol
The New York-based Satanic Temple formally submitted its application to a panel that oversees the Capitol grounds
The application includes an artist's rendering of Satan as Baphomet, a goat-headed figure with horns, wings and a long beard
They want it to sit where a Ten Commandments monument sat in 2012
In the rendering, Satan is sitting in a pentagram-adorned throne with smiling children next to him

It's funny how people want to "honor" Satan based on an image that was a parody meant to ridicule him.

Figured the group was more anti-religious, but if so where did they come up with
the idea of Satan. Is Satan a universal symbol?

No, it is a satanic temple, not an atheist organization.

Still seems if they are worshiping the Devil that they are
anti-religion. Not theirs, but any other religion.

Not necessarily. How would it be anti-Hindu?

Maybe I am missing something, but even if you go as far as saying that
they are worshiping Satan as a religion, wouldn't that make them anti-religious
to all other religions?

Basically am saying they think of Satan as God, so no other God could be possible.

Wait, do those people really think that Satan is a goat who throws up peace signs? Why don't they just use the devil from the fantasy movie "Legend." 03-lmfao

Don't think they deny God. They understand Satan rebelled against God. Satan accepts all your unrepentant sins (while laughing at you). It's why the Democrats are retiring the donkey in favor of The Goat.

Are you for real?

Just a little humor.

Why? Many polytheists worship their preferred god.

I laughed, but I wouldn't out it past a liberal for a second.

This from the same group that is too scared to post the location of their atheist Church.

The guy in charge of this operation is a coward. It will never happen, but let them feel like that are making a statement from the comfort of their hiding place.

If you believe in multiple Gods sure, but most "true" religions only believe in their God I would think.
(With "true" just meaning the way they would think in relation to their god.)

A religious studies survey would show that's just not the case.

Lucien Greaves, the founder of the Satanic Temple. Obviously an upstanding gentlemen. What would you expect from a typical atheist who thinks he is more intelligent and doesn't think he is accountable.

It's a good thing he idolizes Satan as he will be spending all of eternity at his right hand.
