NBR Vanderbilt vs Houston in Birmingham's Compass Bowl - jcduncan13 - 12-08-2013 09:11 PM

Should be a good game. If I am able to go, it would be my second time this season to see Vandy. Thankfully, this time without an annoying horn.

That should be an interesting game. I would think Vandy would bring a decent amount of people.

Unless the locals show up, it might not be that great of a crowd. Vandy does not travel too well for a SEC school, and I doubt if Houston will bring that many either. Too bad Ole Miss or Mississippi State wasn't back in it.

Two teams I don't like playing at Legion Field gives extra impetus to rooting for the meteor.

No reason to go or care.

Not crazy about either myself. James Franklin seems to a pretty cool guy though.

Throwing deep late in the 4th quarter of a blowout does not make me a fan.

Two teams that went out of their way to blow UAB out playing on UAB's field in one of the worst stadiums and therefore one of the worst bowls. Seems appropriate.

I'll be there, already signed up to work as a volunteer. I've enjoyed the past couple of games. Though last year's game did nothing to endear Ole Miss fans to me, already hated them, still do.

Pitt finally broke the three-year Lesion Field spell. I'm sure they are relieved.

I was hoping MT would get the invite...I'm sure Vandy kept that from happening.

Some have been calling Birmingham "The Detroit of the South" lately.......and they are headed to Detroit (lol). That indoor stadium is pretty nice though.

I agree. I don't remember Houston ever bringing more than a few parents. I predict low attendance.

Well if people don't show Birmingham loses the bowl game.

Having people come to town to play a game at one of the most embarrassing things about your city is not good pR for your city.

Pitt would be there had they been in the AAC

I disagree. I think the bowl game is great for the city.
