Update: 4 People in custody.... shooting happened 2-3 blocks away from the school... One of the victims walked back to the school.

I remember when I was in 6th or 7th grade when there was a murder in Clairton on New Years Eve, right after the clock turned over to the new year. The Crips threatened retaliation and threatened to head to the school. My brother and I didn't go to school all that week. It was crazy.
Pittsburgh in general is safer than other metros. But as today displayed, sh*t can happen.

The most exciting thing that ever happened at my school was when a black chick was chasing a black dude that had just slapped her bewby and he went to shut the big metal door to the gym so she couldn't get to him and she tried to stop it with her finger. I heard screaming and looked out of the window and she was tugging on the tendon but a quarter of her right ring finger was on the other side of the shut door.
She was also the same girl that had a four inch scar that started at the corner of her mouth, said she got cut with a knife in a gang fight. Turns out, she was chewing on a telephone cord and it shocked the hell out of her. This was 1995, before the cell phone epidemic.

Since no one got killed and the situation is practically over I'dd add my "right wing bigot opinion", situations like this is why we should have guns to defend ourselves. You don't know when some gang-banger is going to start bucking, esp when you're in the wrong hood or bar. I've had a few close calls if I stayed a little longer I would've been caught in the middle of some sh*t.
