Reporter To Obama: Do You Takes Any Blame For Gridlock In Congress – Obama says no... - EagleRockCafe - 10-16-2013 12:03 PM

Shocking I know....

REPORTER: Why have you not been able to create a bipartisan atmosphere here and, do you take any of the blame yourself for that?

OBAMA: I think if you look at my track record over the last four years, I have consistently sought comprise. Sometimes to the point where Democrats have been mad at me, but I didn’t care because I did what I thought was best for the country.

Why would he take blame? Boehner could have put this to vote two weeks ago, this was an embarrassing charade for one side.

It's fine to have problems with Obamacare and the heavy spending, but choosing to not pay your bills you've already racked up is not, has never been, nor ever will be an acceptable policy for American politics. You don't get to hold the country's economy ransom because you lost multiple elections and a supreme court decision. That is not how America works.

Nobody was ever choosing not to pay bill that we've already racked up.

Bringing up elections is the worst argument the left can make here.

The American people voted the republicans FULL control of the HOUSE and the constitution grants the House the right to fund or not fund everything based in their constituents.

The American people voted the republicans FULL control of the HOUSE and the constitution grants the House the right to fund or not fund everything based in their constituents.
And they over spent thus the need for the debt ceiling increase. Then they blame Obama and act like children saying they refuse to raise it because we need to cut not spend more.

Btw, more votes went to Democrats in the House election in 2010 than the Republicans.

Of course they did, Barry was on the ticket in 2012. But even with Barry on the ticket, the American people still left the republicans full control of the house, by quite a good margine too.

Trying to pin the blame on one party alone for overspending is a laughable as it gets.

No need for me to even argue that nonsense.

The president is the victim here. It's not like he's in a position of leadership, or anything.

285-144

Seems to me the house was on the presidents side 2 to 1.

Maybe the 144 need a little introspection.

You guys realize Obama is not in congress anymore. Maybe that's why he feels alot of the gridlock is not his fault. The reason I ask because some conservative crazies still believe he is muslim and believe he was born in Africa, is illegal and should not be president.
