If you were in the MRDs and traveled to UR, you know that we were generally treated terribly. Like worse than the Lions Center and the Wisconsin band terrible.

My wife is generally indifferent towards football opponents. She wants JMU to win, but doesn't have hate or animosity towards the other team. Except UR. She wants bodies of ticks strewn all over the field when we play UR.

Because their 65 year old fans still try to squeeze their now hefty bodies into their 1968 Tangerine Bowl red sweatshirts. Also because we could never beat Tarrant in a meaningful CAA tournament game.

I hate Richmond as much as anyone but I'd take Mike London or Dick Tarrant any time they were willing. I don't care how old Dick Tarrant is - I'd take him today.

i dont know if id take mike london. I dont understand why a coach cant turn UVA around. Must be something in the water in cville that makes you a total sissy

No reason to take London. He's not making anything happen at UVa. By the way their band is pretty awesome, but that's because it is run by JMU Alumni.

UVA. Very good band program! UR still uses a high school band.

Don't ever think of hiring London. He rode Clawson's program to a title....London is the guy who left the cupboard bare as he ran to UVA.

Only richmond grad I ever met was my high school english teacher. He claimed he went to Woodstock and would make fun of all the seniors who were going to Virginia Tech....his motto "All dirt roads lead to Blacksburg." Good guy.

I heard Mike London speak a couple of times here in Richmond. It's hard not to think highly of the guy as a person. If he came into my living room on a recruiting trip I wouldn't think twice about having him look after my son for 4 years. Having said that if he can't coach or recruit, it doesn't matter.
