I'll never forget 2005-09. Just like I'll never forget 1981-86.

My thoughts exactly Brother Bluto...the only thing that could make us forget about those periods is a National Championship Banner hanging in the rafters of the Forum. And even then i would still remember.

I am happy we have Pastner, but every time I read articles like this, they fail to mention that Cal coached in a league with Louisville, Cinncy, and Marquette. While Pastner has a better record, he has had easier opponents during his first four years than Cal had during his first four years. (Wow, can't believe I am defending Cal 01-wingedeagle)

I'll never forget John Calipari. I'll never forget having an entire season wiped from the record books & being put on probabion because Cal & his buddy WWW broke the rules, then fled to greener pastures to avoid being penalized.

You almost had me agreeing, except the NCAA cleared Rose to play, then uncleared him retroactively. Not X's fault.

If you had gone with him being a lying scumbag who wrecked our program on the way out I would have agreed.

I can more easily forget rant sports than I can Calipari.

Same here, but I'm willing to learn.

Selective enforcement, end of story. Nobody wins without the best players.

I'm pretty sure that Final Four was chock full of paid for and ineligible players.

Our program just isn't 'up-there' like Duke & Kansas. Those programs can play ineligible players and get away with it.

Yep the powers that be got so tired of Cal cheating and winning here so they got Billy Clyde a DUI and got him the UK job so he can cheat in harmony. Hell UCLA has a banner for 1995. Jim Harrick couldn't even blow his nose at Jawja and Rhode Island doe.

A well-nuanced set of facts that some folks seems to forget...we were royally screwed by both Cal AND the NCAA.

That's not really as true as you think it is.

Sure, if you just look at the conf sch, Cal's was tougher. But the overall schedule (including non cof) are much closer.

Our RPI is has actually been much higher and our SOS has been close to the same if not better.
