this is the first year in like 4 years where the constant threat of realignment isn't hanging over everyone's heads. Really ever since the ACC announced their GOR, it's been much different.

You make a good point. Even more, this is the first summer in years that there hasn't been a big scandal brewing. A couple of years ago it was USC/Bush, then tOSU, Sandusky, North Carolina, Miami, etc. Even the Oregon story was "much ado about nothing." The biggest story this summer is what parties Manziel has gotten thrown out of.

Great point as well. It's kind of been back to a normal offseason. Next year will be a bit different with the anticipation of the new playoff system and the final bit of realignment just about.
