Paul Meyerberg on PJ - BobL - 06-05-2013 10:54 AM

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2013/06/05/western-michigan-college-football-countdown-2013-preview/2390421/

An incredible description..

P.J. Fleck (Northern Illinois '04), entering his first season. Here's the best way I can describe Fleck's coaching style: he's a seismograph-shattering ball of thunder rolling downhill. Fleck knows only one speed, quickness multiplied, which might explain how he's gone from a record-breaking receiver at NIU to a head coach in the MAC in less than a decade. How did he get here? By overcoming a lack of prototypical experience with energy, enthusiasm, drive and the ability to run with his tachometer in the red from start to finish. Oh, and he'll knock your socks off in an interview.

Too bad there wasnt that energy and enthusiasm to last through his 2nd day as NIU's head coach. I guess we didnt harness that energy as good as we should have.

I watched a couple minutes of the first video. Couldn't take it anymore.

Real curious to see if his players respond to that (insert word here).

Suggestions - B.S., Crap, Nonsense

real curious to see if he is all hat and no cattle or can he actually coach?

RE: Paul Meyerberg on PJ - the_instigator - 06-05-2013 01:28 PM

Moderators can we created a PJ sub board for those that give a F**K? 04-cheers

RE: Paul Meyerberg on PJ - cagy cager - 06-05-2013 01:30 PM

I never understand complaints like yours, instigator....the topic is clearly marked PJ.....don't click on it and it won't bother you....

Yes, but:

1) It is a NIU Board
2) PJ does not coach at NIU
3) When he did, he screwed us in his last capacity
4) I do not understand the love affair with him

RE: Paul Meyerberg on PJ - cagy cager - 06-05-2013 04:47 PM

I am not reading much love for his carpetbagger arse on here. Many topics are less directly related to NIU than are any PJ ones....and I get the sense most of us would love for him to fall on his pretty, manic, hype infused face

RE: Paul Meyerberg on PJ - Who You Crappin'? - 06-05-2013 05:40 PM

By the looks of their schedule, PJ will go 1-5 in his first 6 games. That should settle things down a bit.

Yep. You get the feeling eventually people will tune him out. He just talks and talks and talks and none of it make any sense.

RE: Paul Meyerberg on PJ - badmoonrising13 - 06-06-2013 08:13 PM

I'm going with my gut here. I always thought PJ would find a way to get things done as a player. He wasn't the biggest or the fastest but he was our best receiver for two years. He just worked his butt off to make a difference and I'm pretty sure that's how he's going to succeed as a coach. He was great to have on our side and it's really going to hurt if/when we play a big game against him. Maybe in the last game of the 2013 season. GULP!

I still can't figure out what "Row the boat" is supposed to even mean.

Paul Myerberg ‏@PaulMyerberg 4 Jun

I've calculated that judging by his sleep habits, PJ Fleck has been awake the equivalent of 266 more days than the average person since '06.

That's a really crappy joke...assuming it's a joke.

After watching a few PJ vids I really like Rod Carey more.

To answer # 4.......

Obviously because he is so dreamy 03-cloud9
You look into his eyes and you melt like "budder"
