I was thinking the very same thing. Afraid of playing in Savage in front of 7000 hostile fans. If they won't give us a one-and-one they sure don't want to be on the wrong end of a one-and-done

It sounds as if they have couple of players who have "elective" type medical procedures pending and it sure sounds as if had they received an NCAA bid those procedures would have been postponed without a moment's hesitation. Also just as Pitt had to play the WNIT first round in Savage three years ago because Pitt was a host site for round #1 & #2 Women's NCAA tourney games, Ohio State got caught in the same trap, so no home games for them in the early rounds of the WNIT.
Truth be know, the coach and AD probably decided that it was NOT in the program's interest to go on the road to an Ohio MAC school and get beaten. It just wouldn't do for THE OHIO flagship university. ...and, frankly they are probably right.....cowardly yes, but also acting in their best interest.

Butler is 123 RPI, 17-13, and beating Ball St was probably their second biggest win of the year after Temple

Sucks that bgSUCKS is on the other side of the bracket. The only way to play them is in the championship. And if we win 2 games, and Miami(OH) wins 2 games, we'll play each other.

Yep. Could get Missouri or Illinois in the Sweet 16. Kansas St./Marquette/Minnesoda in the Elite 8.
