Overnight stays in Rio de Janerio; Buenos Aires; Santiago, Chile; Lima Peru, and with side trips around Antartica and the Falklands. No overnight in Ushuaia (Tierra del fuego). That is the end of the earth with nothing but frozen penguin poo-poo.
And it will be a helluva trip. I have never been farther south than Columbia, and I have never "seen the Southern Cross for the first time".

i liked bounce. he crossed the line at times, but was smart, informative, and passionate (i know). shame.
chris, ushuaia is great during summer. i was foolishly only there one day. it's not cold it's not warm, it's somewhere in between. but i believe we wore jackets. of course we wore jackets. it was cold. i loved argentina. buenos aires is a charm. i recommend these:

I don't plan to go to Recoleta (just a bunch of tombs above ground), but quite possibly to La Boca. As always, it depends on how I can get around in my scooter and if there is transportation for me and the scooter. There should be in Argentina, Brazil and Peru. They pride themselves on being "modern" and being just as good as the US. Also, possibly in Uruguay.
