It's a possibility. Wommack is feeling the heat big time for the horrible stats of UA's defense, and Houston Nutt has a real good friendship with Ron Zook. After that Florida State game, many here are calling for Zook to be the new DC.
Other possible candidates for UA DC are John Thompson, former UA def. coordinator who resigned as ECU head coach, and Dave Wannestedt, who resigned as head coach of the Miami Dolphins, and is a close friend of Houston Nutt (Wannestedt recommended Nutt to Steve Pederson at Nebraska, thus starting the NU attempts to grab Nutt).
