economic impact - gcd - 01-04-2013 02:15 PM

I was wondering what school had the biggest economic impact for the game. How many FSU fans drove down, stayed over one night and left the next day. Virtually all of our fans probably stayed on an average of at least 3 days. The ratings were high, hard to believe how Orange Bowl comm. coulod gripe about us.

We came, we stayed, we ate and drank, we bought...and we helped give the OB it's biggest attendance in 4 years. The bastard should be fired.

What do they care? They NEVER have to pick an non-AQ/mid major again.

Next year the Fiesta bowl gets last pick and Sugar gets the second to last pick.

After next year the Orange Bowl gets the ACC champ vs either the #2 SEC/B1G team or ND.

LOL If NIU were to somehow be an AQ again in 2013 I bet that the Sugar would pick us over the BE champ! That would surly be an easier trip than to Miami.

Excellent, was trying to find who had last pick next year. Yeah, the Big East champ could be brutal next year. Let's hope we can start ranked or close to it, and BEAT IOWA.

As a diabetic, the Sugar Bowl would be hard on me.

Has anyone read or heard what the response was by our NIU person when the OB person said that?
What a shocker that must have been!
