Those eccentric Brits... - Native Georgian - 12-20-2012 09:39 AM Are these really the same people who once built an empire that spanned the world? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2250555/Shock-CofE-school-Mr-Upton-return-Christmas-Miss-Meadows.html Quote:It was not your average Christmas newsletter for a Church of England primary school. The perversity of the whole thing defies description, but the people in charge (that would be the Church of England, remember) ought to give some special thought to Luke 17:2 RE: Those eccentric Brits... - DrTorch - 12-20-2012 09:45 AM (12-20-2012 09:39 AM)Native Georgian Wrote: The perversity of the whole thing defies description, but the people in charge (that would be the Church of England, remember) ought to give some special thought to Luke 17:2 Blunt. But accurate. RE: Those eccentric Brits... - Bull_In_Exile - 12-20-2012 12:19 PM I don't think most people grasp that things like this are not the cause of God's judgement but the result of it... "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another." ROM 1:24 RE: Those eccentric Brits... - Paul M - 12-20-2012 12:27 PM "I'm putting my perversity on full display for all to see and ask for... my privacy." But by continuing to place Mr. Upton in a position of classroom authority over young children, I think the people in charge of the school are, in fact, inviting the kind of judgement that Christ described in the gospels. Do what you want with your own lives but keep it private. Except in the case of an Atheist kid who has to sit through joy to the world then the parents should have no say in these things.. RE: Those eccentric Brits... - UM2001GRAD - 12-20-2012 11:58 PM Stories like this always get the bigots up in arms. RE: Those eccentric Brits... - Fort Bend Owl - 12-21-2012 06:36 AM Why does he/she have to change his/her name? Shouldn't a Mr. Upton become a Mrs. (or Miss) Upton? Where does the Meadows name come from? Serious question here (sort of) because I think I've seen this before. Isn't it enough of a change to go from being a Mr. to a Mrs. - why do people also change their names when they do this (sometimes - I guess Chastity Bono only became Chazz Bono).
