OT: Washington Nationals - hburg - 12-14-2012 09:26 PM

09 and any other Nats fan, you keep up well with the Nats, what are your thoughts on the trades and pick ups? I ask because I haven't been able to keep up with it except for a trade here and there. Do you think they will be able to have a good season like last year?

i think at worst, dan haren is an equal to edwin jackson. if we get the haren that has been seen in the past, he is an improvement over jackson.
denard span, idunno about him. we'll have to see. he doesn't seem like a power, HR hitter. I'm hoping he is that singles and doubles with RISP player that we missed all season long.

What about LaRoche? Is he still on the team? Thought he was our best base hitter. Morse is good, but he is streaky when it comes to hitting.

Okay just found the answer. http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20121211&content_id=40606976&vkey=news_was&c_id=was Nats want to sign LaRoche to a two year deal but nothing more, but LaRoche was to have the option for a 3rd year. Hope it all works out.
