and WESTERN KENTUCKY need to CIRCLE THE WAGONS right now...there's a lot of history between most of the 7 programs mentioned...put together 10-12 teams (La Tech/ASU/etc) on the east side and STICK TOGETHER...nothing against any other program, but I just don't see the benefit to us playing the western teams

Yes...but I mean the west and east part company altogether - not that it won't happen in time anyway

You haven't found out anything about true UAB Fans and this poster is not a true representative of a UAB fan guy. Truth be told, I haven't seen but maybe one of two ECU posters take consistent digs about CUSA. Most of the ECU posters have been respectful and have moved on to the BE board.

Nope but I don't feel sorry for them. We got kicked out of CUSA the first time around and we dealt with it.


Bringing down other schools remaining because you didn't get the invite you wanted serves no purpose.

To be fair,when we went to the A10 we were good. After we got there, not so much. Not that the other teams were great, just our coach was butt hurt and recruiting dropped way off. I think the team Major is building now can compete well in the A10, but alas we'll never know after this year.

That's right...protect the basketball side as much as possible...UAB, ODU, Charlotte and WKU have a very long history together...I'm a UAB alum btw...Class of 1989...back when the Old Sun Belt played great hoops...

Well to be fair you ended up in a better basketball league than what became of C-USA after you were asked to leave, so I'd say Charlotte landed on it's feet fine.

That's right...protect the basketball side as much as possible...UAB, ODU, Charlotte and WKU have a very long history together...I'm a UAB alum btw...Class of 1989...back when the Old Sun Belt played great hoops...

I'm a bigger basketball fan than football as well, but you have to be smart enough to realize that, in this climate, if you want to protect basketball, you have to promote football to the fullest. Long histories mean nothing. Oklahoma-Nebraska and Texas-Texas A&M had long histories as well. Didn't matter.

That's like Tulsa having a long history playing the likes of Creighton, Bradley, and Wichita St. Except for Wichita St. we just haven't played them much recently. Those are mainly basketball schools and good ones.
