MTSU is fine with me, please no New Mexico State. I'd gladly take FAU(rivalry with FIU) or WKU. After that no more Sun Belt teams. No Troy especially.

RE: C-USA Adds MTSU - Memphis Blazer - 11-28-2012 11:50 AM

Excellent addition in all sports.

I suspect that the Big East will take them by the end of the week.

NMSU had good basketball and horrible football and is located less than 50 miles from UTEP. FAU has bad basketball and bad football and is located about 40 miles from FIU. If we can't have wku I'd rather have nmsu

That leaves C-USA with how many schools now?

13 I believe... but of course that can change at literally a moments notice.

04-jawdrop Are you serious, "Tke?" No Troy!? Really? Really!03-lmfao With all due respect, if I had a vote on which Sun Belt program I'd like to see join Conference USA first , Troy would more than likely get it. Especially where football is concerned. I would love a rivalry with the "Marching Condoms"...Speaking of which, who's going to be our new "trophy" game now that Memphis has taken our "bones" and left?

RE: C-USA Adds MTSU - Uncle BLAZER - 11-28-2012 12:02 PM

Let's see.

-3...+5 ...-2...+1....

Ah, the hell with it.

I can't keep up.

If the Blazers win we get their cheerleaders. If the Trojans win, they get sheep we buy for them at the stockyard.

190 Miles from Birmingham to Murfreesboro, TN... Much better drive than to ECU. bet they will bring more fans also. Frenchy could make that trip under 2 hours.

Wow. When a recruited player is being offered by UAB and Troy, they usually choose UAB because of several reasons - a big one being a better conference.

So, for that alone, NO to Troy!! We can still play Troy and keep the rivalry without putting them in our conference.

RE: C-USA Adds MTSU - BeliefBlazer - 11-28-2012 12:13 PM

GOOD. Now go get WKU.

RE: C-USA Adds MTSU - the_blazerman - 11-28-2012 12:15 PM

Yep, what he said. Been to MTSU before. Not bad when you take I-65 instead of podunk back roads through Huntsville.

I thought their cheerleaders and sheep were one in the same.

The Prancing Condoms are no great prize. I write this from direct experience. And she didn't even insist on their brand, which I thought sort of disloyal.

No to Troy. A thousand times no.

RE: C-USA Adds MTSU - Smaug - 11-28-2012 12:45 PM

Look a the teams CUSA has targeted. Troy doesn't fit the profile.

RE: C-USA Adds MTSU - BeliefBlazer - 11-28-2012 12:48 PM

WKU doesn't either, unfortunately.
