Just trying to get settled in over here DW. I love the emoticons over here. Many great choices.

Make sure to thank GTS. It's a very nice place.

OK, Thanks GTS. It seems to be a very nice place. Not too many of us Uconn folks on here. At least not that are posting here.

There are about 6-8 UConn fans in all...enough to start a little bit of an official server...

- DW4uconn - 01-19-2006 08:26 PM

Hmmmm, I have been busy over on Rivals FB forum for the most part. Also some on Bigeastboards. I keep checking back here from time to time to see what is happening. The general BE board here seems to be the only thing with any signs of life ....

- uconnbaseball - 01-23-2006 03:23 PM

bigeastboards.com? Never heard of them, looks like another on-line investigation for me.

And I have contacts that actually work, not to BRAG or anything ;-) Yeah, you're right, size of the text is a good recruiting pitch for on-line UConn fans!

- DW4uconn - 01-26-2006 09:14 AM

Yes. Bigeastboards.com is known by many on this board here. The problem with the other BE board is that the current servor is slow. That is being fixed, but until it is, my posts have diminished there significantly. I believe other here would say the same thing.

- uconnbaseball - 01-27-2006 11:21 PM

Yeah...my damnarse slow computer can't even get the site to load:(
It looks like an interesting place...perhaps when everything is fixed...

Confucius Say: there will be some other UConn fans here after we win the CWS (or, at least a basketball championship...right now obviously the men have a shot).

- DW4uconn - 01-29-2006 08:31 PM

I have a Pentium 4/ 2.4 Mz and still couldn't log on there last week. Still I love the site, but there are good posters here as well. I just have not had time to keep uo with the topics in the general talk forum. I have been preoccupied on Rivals this month following the FB recruiting period. Glad it will be over this Wed. or there abouts.

Uconn is doing so so, but the BE over all is doing well, especially Pitt, USF, & Rutgers.

Hunter SVcks !!!!

- uconnbaseball - 01-30-2006 08:25 PM

The recruiting class isn't quite as good as I expected...but put it in perspective: We did well with Punter, Wideout, and Linebacker, our three biggest weaknesses. There are rumors going around that we got Robinson, and if so, that brings us up to 5 3 stars. Also, Aaron Hernandez was given a 4 star rating and a spot on the scout.com top 100 (which does a better job of evaluating that rivals or espn in my opinion). I'm sure you knew about all of this, but hopefully some kids turn out to be diamonds in the rough. Edsall has gotten those recruits before.

- DW4uconn - 02-05-2006 11:07 AM

It would have been nice if we landed an impact player like Hunter that could have shored up our depth at LB next season, but we did get kids with potential for greatness. They kust will needa couple of yers to grow. I think we are going to struggles again next year, but perhaps 2008 will be the year we go to a New Year's bowl.

WE'll have to see. Gopefully we'll finish no worse thatn 6-6 and get a bowl next year, win it, and have a better recruiting clas of lineman.

- uconnbaseball - 02-06-2006 05:39 PM

Right now.......it looks like:

Wins (99%): Army, Rhode Island (2)
70%: Navy, Wake, Indiana (2)
60% Cincinnati, Syracuse (2)
50% Rutgers, USF (1)
40% Pitt (1, nice win)
10% UofL, WVU (0)

I'm going to go 8-4, plus a bowl win.....but can see anywhere from 4-8 to 11-1+BCS...the season will truly be interesting...

- uconnbaseball - 10-02-2006 11:04 AM

We'll be either 3-3 or 4-2 going into the WVU game

The USF game is key if we want a bowl. Taking care of Army and getting 3 BE wins are key for bowl prospects (USF, PITT, SU, Cin, and maybe rutgers....we must take care of business).

I'll go 5-7
