Your All-Time "Most Hated" Person in Pro Wrestling. - Matrix - 08-21-2012 02:03 PM

This one's gonna be a challenge for you much older wrestling fans (like me), for you can only pick the one person (male or female, but you can only select one) that if you had a vote on this for real, you would gladly give that vote to this person, because they really raised your ire whenever you saw them or heard them talk or compete in the ring. Who is the one individual? Who is your personal all-time most hated person in pro wrestling?

I'll start it off...Paul Heyman...Who's yours?

John Cena - Now, will always be my most hated. Im not one of those guys who listens and waits for Vince to tell me who to like. I think cena is a joke and a fake. His 5 moves of doom are worse than Hogan's leg drop. i hate how he gets beat up a whole match and then the last 30 seconds of every match he pulls his move set and wins. I have respect for what he does with the Make-a-wish foundation but Ive hated him ever since he debuted against kurt angle if im correct. The thing i hate about wrestling now is that besides cena and the little jimmys. There are no longer loyal fans who have favorite wrestlers despite a heel turn. I could name some others but since im only allowed one. This is it. Hopefully one day, we will get to see some technical wrestling again.

@BlazeNBham: You got me laughing here! My ex-wife loved Hulk Hogan, as beloved a figure as he is in the world of pro wrestling, he was as predictable as they come, but he always managed to pull off a classic performance in the ring. Hogan's routine never really bothered me, fans love him to death, even if they know what's coming more or less, they root for him to win, but I didn't always root for him in all of his matches, that epic in Canada (I forget which city) with the Rock and his war with the Ultimate Warrior cemented his legacy with me forever. He lost both of those matches but he walked away the true winner because his legend will outrun both of those guys. Technical wrestling? Kiss that goodbye, my friend. IMO, today's audiences want instant gratification/action, sadly, there's no more room in the business for the Dean Malenkos & William Regals, they want the impression of sheer brutality and maximum carnage, that cat's out of the bag and it ain't ever gettin' back in. You're so right, there has been a gray area between good and evil ever since the emergence of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, no matter what that man did or to whom, in the eyes of the majority of wrestling fans, he could do no wrong. CM Punk is the one that comes closest today to a similar mystique. Just like you, I could name a smorgasbord of wrestling personas that I absolutely could not stand, but, Heyman stands head and shoulders above them all. He is very good at what he does, which is p*** people off! My Parents used to take me to the NWA matches at Boutwell Auditorium on Monday nights, and my Mom (God embrace her spirit) despised this manager, Saul Weingeroff, the guy was absolutely despicable! But he was the greatest, if not most underrated manager in the history of pro wrestling, IMO. His tag teams were dominant and extremely successful under his leadership. Sometimes when I sit back and think about some of those moments, I can still hear the fans verbally assaulting this guy. And he seemed to revel in it! And in closing for the record, I like John Cena. ;-)

Wrestling fans these days? There's no such thing as loyalty anymore. I remember when they started turning on "Goldberg" for no good reason.
