Yea, he's a little too negative at times. But I can appreciate his opinion. He wants the league to be better. He wants the other schools to step up. In a way I feel where is he is coming from. Remember 5 of the schools came from the BE. We know how dysfunctional the BE was. So maybe, just maybe the ACC isn't what its cracked out to be from a leadership standpoint. Maybe once the games start catdaddy will chill out. But lets quit calling him out on every single post.

He doesn't want anything to be better.

He wants to prevent everyone on here from having a discussion about current topics. He wants to continually drag up **** from the past and turn every thread into an ACC bash fest.

IMO, the best way to deal with a "Negative Nancy" like CatDaddy is to refuse to respond to the negative. I read his posts and sometimes I get some good insights - in those cases, I will reply to that part of his post.

The ACC bashing seems to be an epidemic among Clemson fans in general, not just the Cat. Ignore it as much as you can and life will be easier. That's my 2 cents.

He was a troll 8 years ago and he still is one today...he is a broken record along with his sidekick.

My .02 is as someone who has been around message boards for a long time it has been my experience that the boards who are the cheerleader type like the majority of you here want tend to fail far more often than the ones who allow differing opinions.

It's also my experience that the majority of you newcomers never would have lasted on the ACC board that this one replaced. Unlie most of y'all the folks there actually had man parts instead of vajayjays.

I love a difference of opinion. A difference of opinion is the #1 driver of any message board. I for one don't want a cheerleader board. But I also don't folks around that intentionally post sh*t just to get under others skins for the sake of it. Not saying you're doing this cat or anyone else. For the most part, we as mods let tons of sh*t go or send PM's.

I know. You and I have had these discussions, and IMO that's what makes you the best mod on this board.

I am a fan of a team that has been in the ACC since the beginning. Truth be told I am a fan of one of two teams (Maryland was the other) that spurred the ACC schools to split away from the Southern Conference. I know from personal experience my entire life how the ACC works. I know from personal experience how basketball has far too much importance with this conference. Basketball was important in the 1980's and 1990's. It's not anywhere near as important these days and the vast majority of the ACC hasn't accepted that yet. Clemson was, is, and always will be a football school and any conference moves that do not benefit football will be a negative to Clemson. Pitt and Syracuse aren't football moves in 2011/2012/2013. They might have been in the 1950's/60's/70's but they aren't now, and they aren't going to be national powers in the future.

Since you seem to know so much about the future, got any good stock tips you can give me?

But really, I think you being a Clemson fan can vividly remember, better than alot of folks, SU being a fb power, far more recently than the 50's , 60's or 70's, and as recently as 2001. Remember the last time that SU played Clemson? I do. The point differential (49-0) was even larger than the bcs bowl game rout that Clemson played in last year against WV. And that was in the 1996 Gator Bowl, not in the 50's, or 60's or 70's.

I have seen no proof that Clemson will be a national power in the future either? Maybe Clemson fans should worry about their own house first? If Clemson goes undefeated and wins their BCS bowl game and then gets screwed out of a National Championship because they were in the ACC… then let's bring this subject up then? Until then, maybe the fans of Clemson should worry more about their football team winning and losing. Truth be told when Pitt got their invite to the ACC the first upgrade in competition that I thought about Pitt having to deal with was FSU and Vatech. Then, I thought about how much better Miami should be. Clemson at best was my tertiary thought probably with Georgia Tech. Sorry, but I just don't see the overly inflated view of self importance?
