The real beasts of this league were hibernating last season but will remind you all of who we are...see you at the end of the season.

Everyone just keep forgetting about WKU. But when the season is over with you will all be wondering what just happened. The Sun Belt Champions will reside in Bowling Green! Mark it Down!

Video's are great and all, but if Malzahn leaves after this year, what good are they going to do for us? Hey coaches, come work for ASU, we were good once in the 80's and might be decent now...

I don't think that's the case. There's five teams you could argue could win this year, WKU & FIU have the strongest teams coming back IMO.

The SBC will be very balanced this year and we will not know until late in the season who will take all the marbles . . stAte is just one of several schools that will make some noise.

I think this is going to be a good year for SBC football.

Go stAte . . Go SBC !! 02-13-banana

I think this year the SBC will make some waves for sure. I think we will have a COUPLE SEC wins. And have our first ranked program in football.

Agree . . I expect one of the SBC teams to break the Top 25 this year . . the SBC almost had a Top 25 team last year . . we as a conference are almost there. So who breaks the Top 25 barrier for the SBC . . stAte . . Louisiana Cajuns . . FIU . . Troy or ??

The one team that to me is most scary is WKU . . last year they started very weak and came on strong to end the season. I expect WKU will be looking to make a name for themselves this year.

Go stAte . . Go SBC ! ! 02-13-banana

I have been looking forward to USA hitting the football field . . it will be very interesting to see if they will be a doormat their first year of SBC football or a program that will sneak up on a couple of us and set the tone for next year. 05-stirthepot

Malzahn may stick around for a while with the kind of money he's making at A-State (900k). He's making more than most coaches in CUSA and is probably a long way off from an SEC job.

New doors are opening for A-State in recruiting with the upgraded SBC and the additional post season access points in the new playoff system that are equal to what the Big East and CUSA have to work with.

If he can stay and get 4-5 recruiting classes in watch out...

The wait is killing me.
This has been the longest feeling offseason in our short history of football.
jagsjungle and this site are the only things that have kept it bearable.

Otherwise I might have been reduced to calling into the Finebaum show and yelling "BUT PAWL!!! WHAT ABOUT THEM JAGUARS PAWL!!!"

I think South poses more of a threat to Troy than anyone else in the SBC. Their players will get pumped up for that game....and if Troy doesn't match the intensity, it could be a long day for the Trojans.

I agree with this. That 40k Stadium is going to be packed for sure.

Our TV advertisement, letting folks know that single game tickets are now on sale, mentions Troy specifically.
They are marketing the game very well.

Maybe I am setting myself up for disappointment, but I expect it to be a sell out.

I think this will quickly become an awesome in-state, football rivalry for the SBC. I think it will be a full house and a fun game to watch.

Go SBC !! 02-13-banana
