Cellphone carriers asked for data 1.3 million times in 2011 - georgia_tech_swagger - 07-27-2012 12:31 AM

.... and that isn't even the real total, since some carriers haven't released their totals (T-Mobile in particular).

1.3 million ..... in a single year ....

How many of those do you think were self-signed PATRIOT Act "warrants"? How many do you think were simply requested without a warrant and promptly handed over? How many didn't even have probable cause?

Ridiculous.

Better yet, how many led to a prosecution. If not a high number then they were just fishing. Outrageous.

Not only is the police state an atrocity. But lawyers and the judiciary are at fault for allowing the citizenry to be exploited. Hell, extorted.

It is worse than we realize. The phone records are just one little piece of it.

Watch the video at the link. One guy said we "are THIS close" to totalitarianism. These are former NSA whistleblowers and you know how our government treats whistleblowers..
