BE Left Out of Playoff Picture


I will quote some of it for you, that way you will be sure to see it:


Leagues involved in the Rose, Champions and Orange, will get to pick the replacement teams if one their teams is involved in the playoff. At least four times in the BCS era, a second (or third) team from a major conference would have gotten into the new six-bowl rotation based on this latest information. Example: In 2007, Virginia Tech finished No. 3 and would go to the Orange Bowl. In the new structure, the ACC would be allowed to replace Tech with No. 14 Boston College. In 2009, the Champions Bowl would have been allowed to replace No. 2 Texas with No. 19 Oklahoma State.

Those perhaps aren't great replacements, but they're great for the conference -- and tough for the have-nots (Big East, Conference USA, MAC, Sun Belt) trying to get a team into a major bowl.

So rather than constantly obsessing about the Acc in almost every single thread, why dont you guys pool your resources together and work on making the BE better on the field and in the stands and on tv. Then maybe in the next round of negotiations, maybe the BE could get included.

We did, thats why we replaced WVU, Pitt and Cuse with Boise, UCF, SMU and Houston. In case you haven't realized Boise has beaten VT in what was a VT home game and SMU just spanked Pitt just a few months ago. Now don't forget the shellacking Temple put on Maryland. The last 5 years the current Big East teams have had more top ten finishes than the ACC who has had zero.

We have proven who is better on the field already.
