Lunatic calls for hearings on Radicalized Christians - HtownOrange - 06-21-2012 09:05 AM

Rep. Al Green calls fro eharings on radicalized Christians.

Can anyone recall the recent string of homocidal bombings, using women, children and the mentally challenged to bomb civilians?

I can agree that some religious organizations hand out too much literature or knock at the door to frequently, but "radicalized" is a strong term. Comparing killings of innocents to annoying behaviors is beyond the pale.

What does the group think?

While I don't think it calls for hearings, Radical Christians have been known to bomb or attempt to bomb abortion clinics. Also you have groups like the Westboro Baptist Church. Again, I don't think we need hearings on this. I think we need hearings on why government, industry and finance are so corrupt.

The abortion clinic attacks are the lunatic fringe and not coming from a general source as most Christians hold that taking such action is NOT Christian, thus wrong. There is not a coordinated effort here.

As for Westboro Baptist though it is extrememly offensive but have not taken physical action, to the best of my recollection. As much as I am offended by them, they have the right to make fools of themselves. Since they are all family, inbreeding should rid us of that problem soon enough.

Corruption in government? Never! Industry? No way! Finance? Who would think of such a thing! O.K. Sarcasm off. I wish you luck with that. Most people forget that republican and democratic administrations are heavily populated with bankers/financiers and these guys become lobbyists once they are done "serving" the government. Has anyone figured how a man can get elected to Washington as middle class and walk away a few years later as a multi-millionaire?

Corruption is usually a derivative of oppressive regulations/laws/tyranny. As bad as we have it here, this is nothing compared to the rest of the world. If you want a bleak picture, Nigeria and Somalia come to mind. Even Central America and South America are pretty corrupt. That does not mean I want cooruption, I'm with you, let's audit and prosecute the corruption here.

CP, you have forgotten the golden rule; "they who have the gold make the rules". The FED has the gold, they make the rules; ergo, they are by their declaration not corrupt. Seriously, a private bank should not be making money policy, which is the Constitutional duty of the Senate to do so.
