You know you want us back so that ST Johns can be legitimized, dont you? 03-lmfao

But seriously, I would wait to see how things play out before I start bragging with tunnel vision. I dont think that Espn would allow their baby to be picked apart and loosen further their grip on the college fb industry. Besides we have left one conference with members leaving and a bad tv deal for another one, according to you. Only the new conference tv deal is much better than the old conference and so far no one has left, and not likely to leave.

If ESPN loses the ACC they will just throw all that money that is left lying around right at the Big East. NBC cannot match that money nor can they match the coverage that ESPN can promise with all that open programming slots that the ACC once had.

Talk about come backs. The Big 12 and Big East, at one point most of us thought both would be dead.

Just havin a lil fun in the smack thread. 05-stirthepot

I think the whole FSU thing has been really overblown. They're hurting financially and it does appear that the ACC's renegotiation went poorly so it's not shocking that they're unhappy in Tallahassee right now. This, I believe, is really more about the original TV deal the ACC signed with ESPN and the market being reset by the PAC-12. Things were going to go poorly this go round regardless of expansion.

Now onto the smack. The Big East is and always will be second rate from here on out. I'm completely glad Pitt is out the door soon and wouldn't want to go back even if they did get a more lucrative TV deal than the ACC.

Clemson and FSU are gone. Look for more to follow. I feel sorry for Pitt and Syracuse for jumping into a sinking ship.

I'm not going to believe anything until I see it reported by actual media members. There is too much speculation going on now and I'm not really to believe in any theory at this particular time even as bad as things are looking for the ACC.

If it were to happen I would sure be sad to see FSU and Clemson go. I won't hate either for it, though. Don't hate the player - hate the game. College athletics are spinning out of control. It's growing really tiresome.

The ACC may be in trouble but it's still better than the current Big East.

BE possible new deal only worth $50-$60 million a year. 03-lol

"A $60 million deal per year (as speculated by CBSSports.com's sources, slightly better than their low end) would be worth $4 million each for the 10 full members; $3 million each to the four football-only members; and $1 million each to the eight non-football members"

I think Pitt & Syracuse wouldn't mind paying extra to get out a year early now.

I don't know. He said our TV deal sucks and that teams are leaving. I'm still pretty scared.

Maybe we should have went to NBC. I hear they are going to give the BE a couple billion dollars just so they have stuff on their network......

Hey, so did the ACC fall apart yet?

Cuse and Pitt made the right call no matter what. At worse the ACC ends up with some of the weakest of ACC and best of BE combined.
