Hmm, interesting.

What in tarnation is goin on. These cards are world beaters all of a sudden. Hope Schildt is really this good because he’s definitely gonna get a contract if they keep this up. And imagine this. Ozuna still is just average. What if he picks it up? What if Waino &!Wacha come in and solidify the bullpen even more. Cards are contenders all of a sudden. Wow. Just wow. (I was knocking on wood the entire time I typed this.)

Do you know what today is?Answer:It's the first day this week that the Cardinals won't beat the Dodgers.Today,(Thursday) the Post-Dispatch had an article about the young players being confident maybe even cocky. It's unreal how quickly this team has turned it's fortunes around after calling up all these youngsters.

Fowler being out hasn't hurt.

I know Wainwright is pitching with the redbirds on 8/27. I am not that eager to get Adam back in the rotation. The youngsters are awesome going into the stretch. Wainwright has stunk it up the past two years and I believe his time is up to move out into the pasture. Martinez is doing great coming out of the bullpen thus far. I love the rotation as it is now. Just my opinion.

I would say replace Weaver but that's already happened. Wacha, Wainwright and Martinez in the bullpen would be awesome.

It’s Bader’s world, and we’re just living in it.

Yeah, I am glad to have some speed on the bases again. Love what he brings. Was hoping the Brewers Cubs would lose today but nada.

Just saw an ESPN ticker that the Cardinals had removed the interim managerial tag from Mike Shildt. He's earned this job. 26-12 since he took over.

Agree 100%

Walks are killing us. Also some bad decisions by Shildt in the last couple of games.

Glad we outscored the Nats last night and won but you're correct, 11 walks. Last night Gant hit a point where he couldn't throw strikes. Hicks does that also.

Norris has too. We have given up 21 walks in 2 games. The Cards have also struck out 26 times in those two games. Not usually a good way to win games.

Norris-2 walks and a loser with a Norris wild pitch.
Norris needs to go.

RE: ***Official St. Louis Cardinals Thread*** - MemTigers1998 - 09-10-2018 02:25 PM

Luke Voit starts the season as the Redbirds 1b and ends up starting everyday for the Yankees in a wild card race down the stretch. Giovanny Gallegos starts the year in the Yankees bullpen and winds up getting a game winning pinch hit for the Redbirds to push them into the PCL championship series.

You just cant predict baseball.

Wainwright was awful tonight only lasting 3 innings.

???

Waino went 5 innings. Had a tough 3rd, but looked steady in the 4th and 5th. Great win by the Cards!
